New legislation involves communities in policy making

The Sustainable Communities Act aims to promote involvement of community groups in decision making processes concerned with issues of local sustainability.  ASK's Ivan Vince has been invited to speak at an Environmental Law Foundation (ELF) discussion event about the new Act and its importance for local environmental groups.  Ivan will be joined by Nick Hurd MP and speakers from Local Works, an organisation which campaigns to implement the act.


Event: The Sustainable Communities Act: An introduction for Community Groups

Date: Tuesday 11 November 2008, 1pm - 4pm

Location: Breams Room, The Law Society, 113 Chancery Lane, London WC2A 1PL

Cost: Free for members, £5 for non-members
